Ancillary meetings chairs
Workshops are typically half or full-day ancillary meeting sessions that facilitate the discussion and exploration of ideas, techniques, and methodologies that advance research, teaching knowledge of IS-related concepts, or products from industry and their application to academia, educational curricula, or industry practice.

Workshop proposal submission deadline: 30 October 2026
Notification of acceptance: 01 February 2027
Date
Workshops will take place on Sunday 23 May 2027, immediately before the main conference.
Submissions
- Workshop proposals will not be submitted via PCS
- Instead, please email your proposal as a single PDF of no more than two (2) pages to the Ancillary Meetings co-chairs (Irwin Brown and Harris Kyriakou at ecis2027.chairs.ancillarymeetings@uni.lu by 30 October 2026.
Content
Proposals should include:
- the workshop title;
- the names, affiliations and email addresses of the organisers, indicating a contact person;
- a short description of the topic, aims, and relevance of the workshop to the ECIS 2027 community;
- the intended format (e.g. paper-based, discussion based, tutorial, networking and community building) and an outline program;
- the proposed duration (half day or full day);
- the expected number of participants and how the organisers plan to attract them; and
- any special room, equipment or catering requirements
Responsibility for call for participation
Organisers of accepted workshops will be responsible for their own call for participation and for handling any submissions to their workshop.
